How does MiniAmFm use iPhone Duo?
The inner display holds two radio cabinets: the receiver and the controls. On iOS 27.1 and later, the layout uses arrangement views to adapt to available space and system fold regions. An optional noninteractive now-playing panel can appear on the outer display while the inner display is in use, when the system makes it available.
Does it work on other devices?
Yes. iPhone Duo is the focus, and MiniAmFm also supports iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later. Duo’s fold-aware arrangements require iOS 27.1 or later.
Is it a real AM/FM receiver?
MiniAmFm is an internet radio app. The vintage tuning scale and AM/FM controls are part of its interface, rather than a hardware radio receiver. Streams need an internet connection.
Can I listen with the screen locked?
Yes. The app supports background audio and lock-screen playback controls. You can also choose an available output through the system audio picker.
Where do the stations come from?
Initial presets are supplied by SomaFM. Station search uses the community-maintained Radio Browser directory. Broadcasters own and operate their streams; some may be unavailable or restricted in your region.
Does the app track what I listen to?
The current app code does not collect listening history or include analytics. Favourites, presets and settings are saved on your device. Streaming and search make requests to broadcasters and directory services. Read the privacy page for details.
